How much do custom blinds, shades, and shutters cost in Greater SW Fort Worth?

Custom window treatments typically range from under $100 to over $1,000 per window. The price depends on the product, window size, material, operating system, motorization, and number of windows, so an exact quote requires measuring the actual windows. That's why Made in the Shade Greater SW Ft. Worth includes a free in-home consultation — we measure every window, show samples in your home's real Texas light, and tailor the quote to your actual project. Financing is available.

What window treatments are best for beating the Texas heat and lowering energy bills?

Solar shades and cellular (honeycomb) shades are the best choices for North Texas. Solar shades block the sun's heat and up to 99% of UV before it enters, while cellular shades add insulation that eases your AC through the long, hot summer — and holds warmth in during winter cold snaps. Plantation shutters add year-round insulation and value, and are a durable, upscale fit for Aledo, Granbury, and Benbrook homes.

Are you locally owned?

Yes. Made in the Shade Greater SW Ft. Worth is a locally, family-owned window treatment company that personally handles the consultation, measuring, and installation. You work directly with your neighbors, not a call center or a big-box store. We proudly serve Granbury, Benbrook, Aledo, Hudson Oaks, Brock, Lipan, and the surrounding greater SW Fort Worth area along the Chisholm Trail Parkway corridor.

Do your smart shades work with Alexa and Google Home?

Yes. Our motorized shades work with all major smart-home devices, including Amazon Alexa and Google Home. Just say 'Alexa, raise my shades,' or schedule them to lower during the peak Texas afternoon heat — convenient and energy-smart. They're ideal for tall, hard-to-reach windows and the large windows common in North Texas homes.

What areas do you serve?

Made in the Shade Greater SW Ft. Worth serves the greater southwestern Fort Worth area, from Granbury to Benbrook along Chisholm Trail Parkway to the east, and the Lipan, Hudson Oaks, Aledo, and Brock communities to the west, plus surrounding areas including Weatherford, Cresson, Godley, and Joshua. The Unfinished-Room Problem — and How Drapery Solves It

The Problem: A room can feel hard and unfinished with only blinds or shades on the windows — and the large great-room windows North Texas homes are known for can feel especially bare and echoey. Hard treatments alone rarely deliver the softness, warmth, and layered light control a beautiful home deserves, especially against the bright Texas afternoon sun.

The Solution: Custom drapery solves both the look and the function. Layering drapes over your shades or shutters adds depth, sound dampening, and an extra layer of control over the bright Texas sun, while giving the room a finished, designer look. Whether framing a large great-room window or softening a bedroom, our drapes are tailored to your exact windows from thousands of premium fabrics — with motorized tracks available for large or hard-to-reach windows.
